~Journal Entry — 5003 H.A. — Tove Tranum~

It worked, and while I would like to say it is entirely because of what I did, the truth of the matter is that I think everyone was just looking for an opportunity to reconnect and this was it. We will always miss Toline, and the desire for revenge hasn’t died down in the slightest. However, with this, I think we may have made the first step in moving on.

Someday we will make our move against the Urtuggr clan, and when that day comes, nothing will be able to stop us. Until then, we will keep growing stronger together, learning and practicing our different gifts and abilities. I won’t let another attack like this happen again. I’ve already started revising the protective barrier runes and integrating new pieces I have learned from the Knowledge Source.

They won’t be able to use the same method to attack us again and catch us unawares. The next time, they will have to come with truly overwhelming force if they want to hurt us. When that time comes, I will make sure they pay for every step they dare to take.

Whenever Toril and I aren’t spending time together, I am either working on that project or cultivating. Unfortunately, I already know cultivation is going to be a problem for me at some point. We only have the manual for the first three realms, and not those beyond. Father has written down what he can for his own realms, but it isn’t the same. As it is, he faces the same problem I do.

I fear I may never reach the fourth realm, just as he may never reach the sixth. Not unless we go back to the Tranum clan and beg them to take us all back. Or I take the information father has written down and try to combine it with the first part to make my own method.

It sounds insane, I know. Yet, I feel as though the Knowledge Source approves of the idea. I have time until I truly need it… I suppose there isn’t any harm in at least doing a little research into it, right?

Toril is lucky she is using the method from mother’s clan—then again, maybe not. She might resent it.
